什么是猪流感
猪流感是猪群中一种可引起地方性流行性感冒的正黏液病毒，属呼吸系统疾病。猪流感通常爆发于猪之间。秋冬季属高发期，但全年可传播。以往曾经发生人类感染猪流感，但未有发生人传人案例。

主要症状：与感冒类似，出现发烧、咳嗽、疲劳、食欲不振等

传播方式：由人-人形式传播，打喷嚏、咳嗽和物理接触可传播病毒。微量病毒可留存在桌面、电话机或其它平面上，再透过手指与眼、鼻、口的接触来传播。

预防：充足睡眠、勤于锻炼、勤洗手、室内保持通风等，养成良好的个人卫生习惯。咳嗽或打喷嚏时要遮住，经常洗手，以酒精为底的洗手乳或泡沫消毒剂，杀死细菌或病毒的效果也非常好。

治疗：感染早期用达菲(Oseltamivir)有效

吃猪肉会感染吗？猪流感等病毒对外界的抵抗力很差，只要加热至71℃，就能杀死猪流感病毒。
易感人群：多为青壮年，年龄集中在25岁至45岁

MALACCA: Another seven trainees from the Road Transport Department (JPJ) academy in Tiang Dua, Malacca, have been admitted to the general hospital here for suspected meningitis – bringing the number of those hospitalised to 20.

Over at the academy, 93 of the 449 quarantined trainees and staff were placed away from the rest after having sniffles, coughs and low grade fever, said Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai who is expected to announce

today the exact type of bacteria that is responsible for the outbreak.

Incubation of the bacteria was carried out at 2am yesterday at the Sungai Buloh Microbiology Centre. The process took between 14 and 16 hours.

Liow stressed that the outbreak was a result of bacterial infection, not viral in nature as speculated by certain quarters.

“The Influenza A(H1N1) virus has nothing to do with it,” he said after visiting the warded trainees.

Asked when the quarantine at the academy would be lifted, Liow said it would usually last for seven days to ensure those needing medication completed their course of antibiotics.

The meningitis outbreak at the academy was detected on May 7 when nine trainees were referred to the hospital here after they complained of fever, cough, headaches, and joint pains.

On May 4, trainee Mohd Hafiz Zainudin, 24, from Kota Baru, Kelantan, succumbed to the infection while being rushed to the hospital here.

Another trainee from Penang was initially warded at the intensive care unit at Bukit Mertajam Hospital when he returned home for the Workers’ Day break, and is currently recovering at the Kepala Batas Hospital.
